SS is configured to take mp3 from the same folder MIP is set to.
Furthermore, MIP detects the presence of slimserver as player and is
able to send it tracks (with send to).
Slimserver is set to use MIP and NOT use iTunes.
The
CLearing cache made no difference and as for cookies - some of them have
been with me a long time and I'm rather fond of them - any cookie in
particular I should be deleting?

I have problem to connect the players with the slim server. The player
see the computer with slim server but if I connect the player turn off
the display and didn't connect with slim server.

Yes, as noted above my suggestion is to set MIP validation priority to
high and leave your computer overnight - this lets MIP finish the
validiation before telling Slimserver to use MIP.
MIP validation is very resource hungry and often causes other processes
to crash (not just Slimserver).

I've just noticed the undock function. Super!
I am a bit worried by the Sleeping in 14 minutes countdown.
SlimServer seems due to go to sleep in 6 minutes now. As I am listening
to music I'd really rather it didn't. I'll have to figure out how to
stop it I guess.

Slimserver. Still no joy, still getting just the Server settings in LH

Fishbone on 6.5, but am not completely certain).

Two suggestions which may help:
When tagging files via Picard which have umlauted / accented
characters, try changing Options / Tags / Character Set. I find that
sometimes setting the tag set to Latin ISO and forcing a resave in
Picard, then doing a full clear and rescan fixes the problem.

Sorted out slimserver to stream it through my firewall - I now can
access my music collection from work. Good news for me, but perhaps
not so good for my employer :)
But anyway - I was testing that it works, and asking various friends
around the place to try to access it to see that it works...

able to listen to radio broadcasts of football games thru my squeezebox
but unfortunately, i get nothing out of the box after inputing the

I recently had a similar problem, and discovered that someone with a
Pre-N router had just arrived in the area. It's signal killed my
wireless signal totally. My laptop would still connect, but SB
wouldn't.
Eventually had to re-jig my wireless channel.
