I found a big difference between using itunes within slimserver and not
using it. I suspect due to character sets/encoding differences. Turning
off itunes within slimserver solved the problem. A lot of extra songs
found.

I have seen this a long time ago. A corrupted FLAC file caused this. At
the time the MAC address had changed too. Pulling the powerconnector
and reboot was the solution. The MAC address I needed to change
manually. Does your display show the same thing after reboot?

skin a little, to make it even handier to use op a PDA. New is: a
drop-down menu for both navigating lower frame and navigation playlist.

If you have a MAC address filter in your network, check if your MAC is
the same as writen on your squeezebox.
Keep the left button pressed for a while until you see squeezebox
setup. Then browse to current settings. Then browse to MAC address. If

Ditto here. I've been using the RSS feed since I got my Squeezebox
about a week or two ago. A couple of days ago, it just stopped

Using Windows XP I too have had issues with rescan failing on extra-long
song filenames in extra long foldernames. The easy way to tell if a
song has too long a filename is to right-click the song (the WAV or
FLAC or MP3 file) in Windows Explorer. If the a shortened popup menu

I spoke too soon. The URL that Andy pointed me to leads to a 10-second
commercial. In WM player, the commercial plays once, then the player
switches to the station's live stream. Near as I can tell, that stream

Media servers with thin clients are the way of the future, discs are
dying, hopefully soon to be dead.
While having some sort of mode to play local media might be useful to a
few, it goes against the whole ethos of the slim design and to my mind

The voodoo didn't work. I am getting no connection to the network at
all. It sees my network, but when I try to connect, the timer just
ticks down to zero. I've been using this setup for nearly a year with
no problems. I've changed no settings on my network. Is there
anything else to try?

All of a sudden, my SB3 is not connecting with my network. It "sees"
the network's SSID, but it cannot connect. I've changed no settings,
and it has worked for nearly a year with no connection problems. I've
tried a factory reset and unplugging both the router (Belkin pre-N) and

I have a lot of DVD-A discs that also have a DTS stream available to
play on non DVD-A players. Since the format of the disc is the same as
a standard DVD, i.e. Video and Audio TS folders, it's not as easy to rip
as a DTS-CD is, which looks just like an audio CD but the files are
encoded.
Anyway
When I tried it, the asx playlist had 2 items, the ad and then the real
stream. But you can add just the real stream if you want:

I saw the mac address on the bottom and realized it was not the address
that was showing in my settings. Changing the address got me going
again. I should have checked that earlier, I guess. I wonder what
