The remote is very basic and its function can't be changed any more than
you could use your DVD player remote to control your preamp. It is not
a universal or learning remote.
However, if your preamp has a "remote in" jack you could use a submini
cable to connect the remote out of the Transporte

You could combine SlimScrobbler to log the listening to last.fm, then I
believe I've seen WP plugins to harvest the stats from there. I've not
used WP myself for a while so I've not not any links, but I definitely
had that working when I did use it.

I have been trying to use the built in capability for streaming
OGG/Vorbis streams directly to the SB-II. When I have been listening
for 10->30 seconds the player freezes with the message:
"ran out of decode NVRAM"
The server is just fine.

synced is a pain, but I don't add music that often.

NIcecast does not report the correct local IP address for me. Find the
address another way (from your operating system). Also leave off the
listen.m3u.
Thus for me, I can use
http://192.168.1.107:8000,
where 192.168.1.107 is the local IP address reported by my OS.

i've always found that squeezesoft will be ok for a while then jump a
second or so out of sync.
Doesn't seem to be a fix for it? Just a part of the nature of what it
does. It seems that synced SB's won't have a problem staying together,
but squeezesoft has trouble keeping up.

I also saw some problems with my remote. It has been used a *lot* since
I bought my SB, and wear and tear naturally sets in.
I took the remote apart and whiped the print down with some Pronto
(WD-40) (or similar).
Now the remote works as a brand new one once again.

What version of SlimServer are you running? Do you have a different
computer in the house? Does the same thing happen when you are

My system is:
2.4Ghz processor, 3Mbytes memory, XP, slim Server and a 2Gbyte USB
Lacie hardrive on which all my music files are stored. This is
attached to a Netgear wireless router. Also attached is a Transporter
and SB3.

and give that a scan. Then try and see if there is any improvement. What

Oddness like that is, IMHO, usually down the to slimserver being
starved of CPU.

I do not scan my music. It is organised in folders for each album. I
browse to the music I want to play. I have no playlist. I do not
shuffle , etc.
I have almost 2Gbytes of music files. There is no way that can be
hosted on my local drive.
I want the Transporter to play the album (folder)
You try using the network & server health to check to see if there
something wrong with Slimserver. The network & Server Health graphs may
give a hint as to what is going on.

It is possible that slimserver is scanning in the background - it does
it automatically when you set your music folder.

Just got my SB3 and love it. Setup so far was a really easy and

description showed the Slimdevices style, and was priced higher than
other offers of the SB with the new Logitech logo.
