Thanks Jim. Nice offer but my problem is I don't know what the origin
of the SB3 and remote is. They look new and unused but are they? Are
they returns (and if so why)? Is the SB3 a refurb?

Ok, I finally understood, there is a tag for FLAC files named

an MP3 tag named -TSOP-, that is supposed to be the equivalent of

Here's something I couldn't find in the archives - is bandwidth still

No streaming bandwith. The clock (if you're on SQN), consuming a few bytes.

There is an issue raised here which I have wondered about but didn't
investigate.
In an MP3 stream which uses the ICY protocol the titles of the songs
now playing are interleaved with the MP3 audio stream in the same TCP
connection.
Now this is the point that need considering.
If the titles

To keep my iTunes library running as before, I have set up a virtual

Hi,
Is there an easy way I can get my genuine new music back to the top of

I ask because it seems like SlimServer orders the New Music based on
the last modified date rather than the file creation date.
This means that when I add some new music it appears at the top of the

I don't think there is anything you can do to the files you have
modified so far other than manually correct these.
However, for future tagging, use a program that has an option not to
change the file stamp when you amend or update tags - TagRename and
Mp3Tag will do this (Windows). That way
I'd like to stream my music collection to my office but to do that I'll

It may be easier and more secure to just tunnel everything over ssh.
You can run your home ssh server on any port you wish. I once had to
get a second static IP from my ISP so I could run sshd on port 80 for a
similar reason.

SlimServer only uses 1 connection to the station when streaming radio
for synced players.
If you are using sync you owe it to yourself to upgrade to SC7, sync is
vastly improved there.
