My SB3 cannot access my slim server 6.5.4.
- I get proper connection to the wireless network, IP is properly
assigned by the DHCP server, and can access the Squeeze Network without
issue.
- I can ping the SB3 from the server PC which is running Win XP Pro
SP2.

Wow. Anoop thankyou!!! After trying all possible solutions, I truely
believe it is a fault. I just called Streetwise Software in Melbourne
where I purchased the unit in August 06, they told me they would have
to send it off for repair with a time frame of 2 to 3 weeks, which I

1 - use the "brightness" button on the remote (might brightness be set
to 0 in all modes?)

Please help! my 1 year old SB3 I noticed had no display. Made sure the
computer was on and awake, removed ac, reconnected ac and nothing! The
thing is, the optic out red light is is still glowing when the ac is
connected but nothing on the display. Got a wedding in 10 days and was
relying on my SB

I was aware of these methods but wanted to put the start
point into playlists.
Anyway i found it by using process explorer on xp (cant wait to get my
linux server backup and running)
It was an hh:mm:ss start point not hh:mm like i was trying.
So this works for ten minutes in:

Just when I was hoping I might not have to run cables all across the
room from my HTPC which is located near the projector at the back of
the room...

Thanks for the reply Mark.
After some testing I found out that I must have some kind of
interference in my home becuase my laptop can not connect either in
channels 1,2 or 3. Channels 4 through 11 are fine. I am going to try
the squeezebox on channel 9.

The soundcard isn't involved, you're capturing the stream before it
reaches the hardware. The latency comes from all the buffering and
network transmission between the source application and the SB.

Yes I did try static IPs.
Also went to several wall outlets.
Sometimes it works.
Sometimes I can access Squeezenetwork but not slim-server.
With wi-fi it works all the time, although not in the basement.

Do the other devices (e.g. one of the computers) work using homeplug in
the exact same power socket as you're testing with the SB3? It's
possible that the wiring is preventing the homeplugs from working in
certain outlets and it may not be anything to do with the SB3.

Just a thought - try running static IP instead of DHCP to see if that
helps. I have had problems in the past with homeplug and DHCP for
certain devices - different models than yours but still worth a try.

I have a network problem with my SB3 when connected to network via
homeplug AV 1.0 (powerline) adapter.
Hopefully someone can help me do the trick ...
The powerline (homeplug) adapters I'm using are ALLNET ALL168205, rated
200 Mbit.

@ max fontsize very readable, but your wife would still have to get

I'm trying to use the IR Blaster to control a Bose Wave CD/Radio in my
bedroom. I've used the IR learning function to "record" all of the keys
however when I use the SB to power-on the Bose it does but then the Bose
refuses to act on any IR code even
You can change the size of the text by pressing a button on the remote.
It can go from very small up to full screen height.
If you download SlimServer, install it and run SoftSqueeze (you can
find it in the help pages) this will give you an idea how the system
operates.

I was getting a buzzing noise from the amplifier (if you search my

MythTV works very nicely for me. The machine running the frontend (the
equivalent of a Squuezebox) is silent. The key advantage over just
another 'video player' is that it captures television broadcasts too so
that you can watch them later, like Tivo. It really does change the way

Correct it comes up "can't connect to retrieve playlist"
Although slim picks does work on the network side.
1. Norton password manager is running as is zone alarm but i have
switched the zone alarm firewall off as this was the only way i could
get sb to work. I am using windows firewall.
