Mike, i found server.log in Programdata\slimserver\ on Window Vista.

- download the attached files and then edit custom-convert.conf.
The instruction were written a while ago. I've been thinking how to
make it easier.

Don't think so, the TP source selector cycles around network and DAC
inputs rather than letting you loop out and back in. But the Ignuz
plugin lets you do DSP manipulation of the digital source server-side.

I think this is what is wrong but I don't have Vista.
Probably because you are a user not authorised to write into the
direftory. Vista has separated code and data directory and users
are not allow to write into code direcotry. So you will need to login
as a more powerful user who installs
Wordpad wont save the file either. Just says Access to
Custom-convert.conf was denied.
What now. Why will it not let me save these files?

Wordpad should be fine - it's a simple text file. If you want a decent text
editor, get a copy of PSPad (http://www.pspad.com/).

Why would you want to edit that file manually anyway? Don't get me wrong, but I
guess if you can't open that file, then you shouldn't touch it. You'll easily

Firmware Version 64 seems to be the most stable version.
I tried several other version (pre versions, older versions) but
however without success! The Squeezebox 3 spontaneously reboots after a

Sounds like a plan. Since you 'have' to get an A/B Switch, might as well
make sure the source from the SB3 is coming from the RCA outs instead of
the headphone jack while you are buying a switch and proper cables. The
headphone jack on the SB should really only be used for head phones.

I haven't tested this with Windows but it works with SC7 on Linux.
This method only works in SC7.
Essentially in SC7 - if there are custom files in a directory in the
Plugins folder - they will be read. This avoids having to edit the
AlienBBC custom file.

My AP Extreme via wireless was skipping for a little the other day
until I loaded the latest version of the Slim Center Software. I went
ahead and did 7.0a and all returned to normal.

From the lack of feedback you can imagine that your issue isn't wide spread -

I don't know how you managed to only see one of the two, but iTunes can
definitely be the problem here. I guess iTunes only sees your MP3 files. Even
if you didn't include the mp3 folder in SlimServer, it will read iTunes'
library to find them.
