I was using Firefox 2 and decided maybe Firefox was broken. So I
upgraded to Firefox 3 and now the Squeeze center interface appears
fixed.

I use mine outdoors but like a lot of LCD screens of the sunlight is
very bright then it can be problematic seeing the screen. I do find
that this is worse if you are wearing sunglasses. Having said that it
is no worse than your average mobile phone outdoors!

thought that my computer didn't have the required 50+ gigs of hard
drive space available. I deleted a bunch of files until I had 70+ gigs
of available space. I then restarted the computer but still the grey

I upgraded from Slimserver today. Don't know why but it worked perfectly
upon installation but 30 minutes later I get the same grey screen with a

I installed the latest version of the SqueezeCenter but it will not
load. I have access to my music library via the remote but on my
computer monitor I just get a grey screen with a few icons and a small
print saying that SqueezeCenter is loading. This just keeps going on
indefinitely.

I will look. I originally bought all the albums directly from Yahoo's
music store, so at least at one point, the tags should've been perfect.
But I did look at the files with Windows Media Player, so it's a
possibility they're messed up.
I will look for an advanced tag editor and report back.

That's how I do it, too, Pat. It also keeps network troubleshooting
much easier to deal with... but that doesn't really solve the OPs
problem.

I have a user/password on the NAS share and I have not told Windows to
remember it. If I don't "manually" connect before the scan runs, the

i would guess that it is your tags. assuming all the tracks are in the
same folder, SC has to be getting the divergent info somewhere.
perhaps it is a combo of tags, locations, and missing tag info. SC
guesses info from the location / filename when it can't find it in the
tag.

Which device? I have SB3s and a Transporter and don't have a problem
with any of them being static. What kind of router are you using?
Did you try holding down the LEFT button until the SETUP screen comes
on (assuming you're on a SB3 or TP)?

up a 5v regulated power supply @ 2.5 Amps. Interestingly enough - when
doing a bit of a search last night to find out about the amps - I came
across a number of threads that included failed power supplies at

connecting wirelessly it's an option if it does not get an ip from a
dhcp but not with a iwred connection.

I have discovered that if the image is too large=high quality picture
the SBC sometimes have problems with showing the album art. I have gone
trough my entire collection and downsized every cover. And now every
cover is showing without any problems. And on top of that I got a

Just installed a duet and while my playlist titles show up, there are no

from the web interface? I've had a couple of automatic overnight
rescans fail on me recently and haven't quite worked out why. Planning

Exactly, the MIP import seems to be getting skipped entirely. The
tracks that are mixable were already marked as mixable before I
upgraded to 7.1 (but I don't know for sure if 7.1 is the issue).
I can make mixes from these songs in MusicIP itself, so I think this
must be a SS issue. Off to file
Just a heads-up that this issue is largely resolved in the latest
nightly build. There may still be an issue, though it may be
unrelated.
In my testing, I ran into another set of tracks that present a problem

ARTWORK is different. Is it possible for different tracks having
different artwork to cause an album split? It's technically the same

Have you been opening them in Windows Media Player at all and is it set
to automatically update metadata ? I had WMP mess with the tags on just
some of the tracks in some albums just enough to end up with split
albums.

Looks like a tagging problem to me.
All the files of a single artist album should (theory/logic) have the
same base ("Artist", "Album Title") tags set.
In your case, some tracks seem to have the "Disc Number" tag set, while
others don't.
Some tracks could also have trailing spaces in the

Sounds a bit like the "Various Artists" bug everybody's talking about,
but I've got this problem with a lot of my artists. For no reason, some
albums are splitting themselves up. It's a worsening problem.
Originally, all my albums were perfect, but over time they're
splitting.

It carries out an acoustic analysis of the waveform to decide on the
track's attributes. Genre is ignored in the analysis, however, you can

I don't know exactly how it analyzes your music, but it does much more
than look at genre tags. It's actually pretty uncanny how good a
playlist it can put together based on a few "seed" tracks that you

As far as 1 amp being enough, my feeling is that that will be a bit
