I just bought the Duet and it just work fine. The set up is easy andI
have no problem what so ever to import my audio files from window media
player. But I have a lot of Chinese CD but the controller don't seems to
able to show the Chinese charaters properly. Is there a way we can fix

Well, I figured it out on my own. I popped out the battery on the Duet
controller, put it back in (while the SB Receiver was in "red" mode),
and that seemed to fix it. I had the choice to pick the SBR on the
Duet controller.
Weird.

I have a Duet, Reciever, and a SB3. The SB3 is hard wired and works
fine.
The SB Receiver was working fine when I had no WPA on my wireless
network, but now I can't get it connected.
The Duet controller is connected and works fine, and can control the
wired SB3 just fine.

Actually mine has a label on it. This is the pic from the auction. You
can see where there might have been a label over the MAC one but it has
been removed, there are a few spots where it looks like the surface of

You should return it to the seller. The demo units contain
special-purpose hardware and software, such that they will not be able
to run an ordinary firmware update. It is not feasible to turn them
back into regular units.
Also BTW, there is no demo mode hidden in the ordinary firmware.

Well, I guess I don't know for sure. But when you plug it in, it phones
home to the SqueezeNetwork and says its downloading firmware. Then the
screen goes blank (after you disconnect the cat5, which is what it tells
you to do). When I pulled the power and plugged it back in (after

The SB3 stops playing soon after, complaining that it is waiting to

What's the problem? It had been fine until 2 days ago :(..
I configured up another machine with 7.0.1 and it worked, then swapped
back to my normal server and it still didn't work. Then I swapped back
to the PC that was working 30 mins before hand then that stopped
working too!

I'm not sure about this, but I don't think you need to rescan at all.
I'm pretty sure SC picks up the replaygain info when it reads the
track.

After using MP3Gain to edit my ReplayGain tags in MP3 files that are
already in my SqueezeCenter library, do I need to do a rescan for the
ReplayGain values to take effect?
If so, do I need to rescan from scratch or is a 'Look for new and
changed music' sufficient?
