Can't run the controller with 6.54 though.
At first I didn't know why one would need a controller (received one as
present) but when sitting on the balcony in summer, without direct sight
to one of the SBs, this thing is pretty handy!

I got some really strange behavior when I upgraded to 7.1, the scanning
that is performed after the upgrade resulted in that I got a lot of
trash albums. When I enter the "Albums" menu in the web interface it
just displays 15 albums with the title "Songs".

Mine did the same, but changing the screensaver when off to date and
time using the remote cured it. Previously I had the weather plugin as
a screensaver when off.

Just an FYI: I just updated to the latest SC version 7.1 (as instructed
by SC) and I had the exact OPPOSITE effect. The FW Update disabled my
fixed volume setting. Much safer issue to have I suppose. :)

After upgrading to 7.1, if this setting is enabled it will be
automatically disabled and your volume reset to 50. It was the only
solution we could come up with.

linux box. After the upgrade. I could not access the web squeezecenter
interface. I decided to uninstall using the rpm -e command.
I then reinstallaed the 7.0.1 from May. This allowed my to access the

Okay.
Saw more messages and finally uninstalled and had to blow away the
/var/squeezecenter directory. Reinstalled 7.1.1. nd it seems to be
building my music library.
This update is not ready for primetime on linux at least.

Please help no sound from the Transporter.
I updated to 7.1 – 22170 from 7.01 last night and also updated my
Transporter to 50, the SB3 to 101 and controller to 7.1 r2722.
I used my SB3 and Controller last night with no problems, this evening
I tried to use the Transporter and it’s not working.
Just about to perform the upgrade on my server ( fingers-crossed ) Just
wondering why the 88.2khz playback wasnt extended to the Duet or is
that in the pipeline ??

Thanks for posting about the new version for ReadyNAS. I downloaded the
nightly build 7.1.1-22204 and installed and restarted the ReadyNAS. Now
I can not connect to SlimServer through the Frontview interface. The
page says that the service is running, but the SB is not operating.

I just installed the new version of SC. What a pain! First, I couldn't
get web access, no matter what I tried. I finally called support center
and was advised to do a clean install. Of course that wiped out all my
plugins and settings; artwork, everything. Now it's scanning my music

SC can take a considerable time to start up on the Infrant (or any other
low-power device), as the scanner will launch a full rescan. During this scan
the web UI is pretty much unresponsive.

I just did apt-get update; apt-get upgrade, waited a bit, let the
squeezeboxes do the firmware update thing.
The only trouble I ran into was SuperDateTime had the wrong maxversion
string in the install.xml. Seems like a common bug in most of the 3rd
party plugins out there.

I'm not keen on archiving the MusicIP fingerprint data to tags on

The older 7.0.1-compatible version will work if you tweak the
install.xml file.
