I bought a Squeezebox Classic few days ago. It was working with no
problem after I set up, playing songs from my SqueezeCenter
(WinVista32bit) and shoutcast radio through SqueezeNetwork.
Next day morning, I turned on from standby, pressed play, it shows
buffering, then shows playing, shows song i
It should be possible, but given the problems others seem to be having
with the mcafee add-in, i just got rid of it.

As my Conroller refuses to update firmware wirelessly, I've had to
resort to the SD card method. The firmware was always located in
/var/lib/squeezecenter/cache but after moving from the testing to the
main repository and downgrading to 7.1 it seems this is no longer the
case.

I'm on osx10.5.4 and successfully running ss7.1
I've found that with the latest versions of ss I've had best luck with
installing the software for all users and putting all plugins in:
library-application support-squeezecenter-plugins. I used to put them
in my user librar

tracks are shown. Look at the scanner.log once you've done your
install - should give you some clues where things are going wrong.
Look at Settings/Status for a link to the logfile.

The Nokia 770 skin won't let me switch between devices. I have to go to
the standard interface, change devices, then go back to the Nokia
interface.
This was not a problem on the 6.x SlimServer. It started with the
SqueezeCenter 7.0 version.

Hi guys..
I'v been having the same problem for a while now, the SC always says
'player not found'. I'v tried to reset it from the begining from
factory settings, check the firewall (mac 10.5 os) but had no sucsess.
SB always gets to 'connecting to wireless network' and nothing happens.

sounds as if SC is following one and adding the files twice over.

The SqueezeBox reciever will automatically update it's firmware when a
new one is bundled with a new SqueezeCenter release, same goes for the
controller.
By default the SB3/Classic prompts you to hold the brightness button on
the regular remote to trigger the update.

Just done an upgrade and done a clean scan. If has duplicated every
single track but not the albums. Therefore each album has all of its
tracks duplicated.

Our posts crossed - my last post was made before I saw that the problem
fixed itself. It sounds like a cache somewhere and the time limit on
the cache expired.

Yeah sounds like a bug. AndyG posted in another thread the only the
transported handled files over 48Khz so I assumed the hackish support
for 88.2 and 96Khz files had been removed. It should still drop every
second sample i believe.
Yeah, re-sampling in SC would be the best idea, but not possible
Files I play with Squeezebox Duet are for the most part (like 95%) MP3.
Players are set to normal playback, no custom settings. I'm still
fairly novice when it comes to SqueezeBox so I'm just using regular
settings (not added any plugins yet !).

What format are your files ?
Are your players set to play normal or did you have custom settings ?
One user reported that he thought 7.1 update removed all custom
settings from server directory (e.g. custom-types.conf) and also delete
non standard binbaries from Bin directory.
