On a simple search for a track called The Theme I get lots of results,
in no apparent order. The track called The Theme is returned eleventh.
Antonio Marinheiro (Theme For A Play), is returned top. Also, a search
for The Theme (with the quotes) gets no results.
Is this how it should be?

I have set up my new Duet, and it all seems okay.
I have chosen an Internet Radio station, which seems to be loading and
playing, but I hear no music.
I have tried it both analogue and digital, and looked in the settings
to see which it defaults too, but cannot find it.
Any pointers please?
I looked at the Duet at a trade show, but decided that I prefer the
Classic. I don't need the fancy interface on the Controller. And IR
remote controls are way more bulletproof than any WiFi remote I've
seen. No lag, no configuration issues, IR just works.

I made the move from Duet to Classic, and am now much happier. The
concept of the Duet is good, but in practice it proved to be annoying,
largely to the reasons the OP described.
I also found that the additional clutter of one more remote controller
was not so great, I much prefer controlling

If i look at the Mp3 Tags with the tool mp3tag, there is all normal.
If i search on the squeezeCenter for the song the artist is totaly
wrong - is called reggae and not ziggy marley. I dont find this Mp3
Tag - any idea what i did wrong?

It still sounds like there are tag problems, almost like tag fields are
getting mixed up - the genre tag going where the artist tag should be.
Get Mp3tag to display all tag types, see

Hacked a script together in Autohotkey to read through a itunes.xml
file and replace the .mp3 extension with .flac. If I have identical

I get a similar issue, start up machine, SC starts in icon tray but
freezes at SC starting, happens 1 time in 10. Very annoying, can be
solved by closing SC and starting it again, but this is irritating as I
often just hit the power buttong on my computer and then go back
downstairs to wait for
BT sent me a Home Hub 2 recently which is Wireless N and the signal
strength on the SB has gone from 12-18% to 60%+. Not had a glitch
since.

My iTunes library has 15800 tracks in it. I set all the Use iTunes
settings in the Squeeze Center. I start the rescan, and SC starts by
saying importing 1 out of 15800 songs, and goes up until 6444, and then
finishes. Why doesn't it scan them all in ? Yes some tracks are from
iTunes Store, but

That sounds like a permissions issue. Is d:/ a network attached drive
or another hard drive in the WHS server?
I would guess that user squeezecenter needs to have explicit write or
execute access to the share on the d:/, as opposed to just read access.

I upgraded my music server (an old laptop running Win2K) to Slimserver
to 7.0.1 and it's slowly gobbling up the limited free space on my C:
drive with its cache.
I have free space on another drive, but I can't see any way to override
the defaults and tell Slimserver where to put the cache?

server.log file. This error message happens 24/7 once every second. How

Settings on C:/ because that's where MS expects it to be, so changing
it may have some impact on how well SC runs.
Also, the cache dir shouldn't be that big it takes up significant room

I do not have a controller but I think what you are thinking of is
pretty easy. I set up each days episode of the Archers as a playlist.
All my wife has to do is scroll the playlists and press play. With the
controller it should be really easy.
