after being added into the library it at first misses the album art
when viewing the listings for that artist, but if you click into the
album to view the tracks then go back and refresh the browser the
artwork pops up.

I'm curious about which direction and how tight you're picturing the

they will then be added to the dB.
Beware you still have to do a real scan from time to time.
SC has a tendency to sometimes miss stuff like artwork.

OK, there you could also use SoftSqueeze or SqueezePlay.
SoftSqueeze comes with SqueezeCenter, there's an installer in the Web
UI and SqueezePlay is available under the Beta Downloads.

I recommend searching the forums on this issue, because there are well
documented problems that people can run into, almost all of which have
previously been covered.
I'll give you one to start with (because it covers making sure your tag
versions are correct - the issue that I believe is behind
I've never had any complaints about using lindy.com (although they look
a little more expensive than they used to, but maybe that's just me).
Looking at their website they now have 9 country locations including
UK, US, Aus and across Europe. They're a lot cheaper than buying stuff
in places like P
Hi - searched the forums without luck so far, but will keep looking...
My SB3 is connected to the router downstairs wirelessly, which is wired
to my server. Not an amazing spec machine, but it used to work fine and
haven't changed it.
Just of late, the SB3 looks like it has been power cycling -
I apologize if this has been answered, but is there any way to use iPeng
to control playback on the server running SqueezeCenter? Meaning, I
have that server hooked up to my home theater and would like to control
playing songs on the home theater?

One big issue: I select Albums on the bottom row of icons and I get a
screen that says Loading... for a while and then I get a blank screen.
Selecting via Artists seems to work fine.
I've tried clearing the cache, but that didn't seem to help.
Any ideas on what I might try next?

I have used lots of cheap cables that work very well in all but the most
high end applications. As far as digital cables like HDMI and spdif the
cheap ones work for high end as well.
Homedepot and Walmart are the best places to go for cheap cables is you
need them fast.

on a Nokia N800. I've checked and Javascript is enabled. I'm using

Yes. You want the 'mixer volume' command. Arguments can be absolute
(mixer volume 50) or relative (mixer volume +10, mixer volume -5,

To reiterate what the prior guys said--you need to check your iTunes
preferences to see what format you are improting your CDs with. The
default format is LOSSY compressed bad sounding audio. You have to
manually change the format to the Apple Lossless format for importing
CDs. If you haven't done

But for the record, I just installed squeezecenter on the aspire one
and works flawlessly.
Quite a bit of ram goes to perl and mysql as expected, but even in this
model (with 512Mb ram), it's working fine and I experience no slowdowns,

Using the CLI, it is possible to set the volume to real numbers between
0 and 100. Is there documentation anywhere on what the numbers mean?
For example, do they represent uniform steps in db's?

If it stops the files from playing it proves it doesn't like your flac
transcode line ... which is what happened to me initially too.
To change the logging, go to settings>advanced>logging and scroll down
to player.source

Music Library in SC and the file path used in iTunes is not in the same
format. For example, SC has the file path of //Music/Album/Song, but

To avoid duplicate entries after a scan, I configured the SC to use
iTunes and my music folder is pointing to an empty folder. This gives
me a much better scan result vs not using iTunes and let SC scan my
music folder.

Finally many forum members have using the SB to deliver DTS coded
signals to their AV systems with no problem, showing 100% volume is bit
perfect. Others have recorded the digital out SPDIF signal and file
compared with original, again no difference.

Duet or SB what to do.
If using the volume control at all there is an effect on the signal
when reducing from 100%. If using a 16 bit signal source the 24 bit
DAC in SB and Duet can handle some reduction in volume with no

Hi Rossi
I currently link my Duet via the analog cables to my standard mini
system, in terms of sound quality I found it to be better setting the
SBC to 100% and then controlling with the Hi-Fi remote.
Did you rip your CD's to FLAC ?

Yes all my CD's are boxed up and I only use my SB3 or Classic as it's
now known. It feeds my Yamaha 1800 and does a great job. I love not
having to handle a cd and break the stupid cases anymore. The sound is
great and I also listen to my xm radio thru it. Joy Joy Joy. :)
