My understanding is that My Radio Station is equivalent to My Library

You should google for 'gcj'
I tried it out way back when - it worked perfectly and the connection
was as fast as the SB could manage, which was just a tad slower than a
laptop's internal card in the same location:

That was with the old SB2 though.

The rest of your post is pretty much completely wrong, but it's also
totally off topic so feel free to PM me if you have an open mind

If he's scrobbled stuff from his local library and now the Boom is not
attached to it wouldn't he want it? I can think of other reasons too

And no, there
Thanks for all those speedy replies.
The situation I have is that the house is already pre-wired back to the
cellar with non-active ceiling speakers already installed, so I have to
fit a system around that.
The best amp I've looked at so far (as recommended above) is the

I'd consider looking at a Boom - nice price and you can control it
completely from Squeezecenter. I'm currently running 5 receivers and
a boom, two of the receivers are connected to book shelf systems and
one to a Cambridge Soundworks CD player. The boom is a less expensive
option than any of t

No multiroom amp. Heck, not even an amp anymore.
A Squeezebox in every room connected to active speakers.
That way, you can control all your SBs separately or in sync using your
controller and active speakers
In the single inexpensive amp department a couple good recommendations
are the AudioSource Amp100 and the Sonic Impact T-Amp (both the
original and the more recent 2nd generation model). Each is under
US$100. The AudioSource has an auto-sensing feature that puts the amp

amp or a new amp capable of amplifying two separate zones individually

There's also SqueezePlaay. Basically you nee
The media PC is feeding digital audio directly via SP/DIF to a home
theater processor preamp. The D/A converter in the pro/preamp is very
high quality, as are the amplifiers and speakers. The PC is mounted in
such a way that you can't hear the fans from the listening position.

You can stream directly to the Duet controller itself.
I have no idea whether it streams FLAC to FLAC or whether it transcodes
though (somebody else may be able to shed some light on that).
You could connect the Duet controller to the line-in on your sound card
and perhaps achieve what you want t

Last.fm, Pandora, Slack
