I dug through the FCC database and found the entry for the SB Touch
(JNZXRC4). The short term confidentiality request states that the
official product launch is to be September 30, 2009.

Looks good, and to me it's a big improvement over the previous
Controller, which I always thought was a bit too big and clunky.
Agree that this new model is too pricey. I'd rather have an iPod Touch
running iPeng or the equivalent iPhone/Touch application that's
available for the Sonos system.

I have a squeezebox duet that I run using a hybrid configuration
(ethernet from modem to receiver) on a macintosh. I also recently
upgraded to squeezenetwork 7.3.3. Everytime the power goes out, the
system has to be reconfigured and every time I try to reconfigure it
takes about 3 hours
You can use the digital inputs menu within SC or SN. If You cannot see
it, it has to be activated (in SN see Menus, in SC see Plugin: Digital
Inputs and Menus).

computer at all. The infrared remote and/or SB Controller (and, I

I now firmly expect it to be a firmware bug, as my initial thoughts
about 7.3.4 fixing it proved wrong. I'll try 7.4 to see if that helps
and report back, but leave the testing a little longer this time.

7.4 is somewhat buggy for the moment, and uses a comp
I do not know whether my comments help this discussion or not but I want
to post it anyway. I have a transporter in the living room and a SB3 in
the garden. They both run wireless but the SB3 gets its signal from a
wireless range extender. Normally I have no issues with either players.
However,
I agree that you can. However, I think that the SB3 requires a
crossover cable as well.

First of all I like to thank chp for this great application! It made me
buy Spotify Premium and it was easy to set up and works great, most of
the time
I have one small issue and don't know if DSBridge or something else is
the problem. Sometimes I get interuptions in the music and my Squeezeb
Even if the SB2 or 3 both require crossover cables most modern PCs have
auto detect so it would still work with a straight cable.

Well, tonight I helped my brother get Squeezecenter running on his Mac
Mini to serve his new Transporter and Duet. He had the Duet running
against SN but was ready to get the transporter and local library
going.
I wanted to post this because:
1. wanted to say that it went flawlessly for him/us
Glad to hear it. I generally use VNC (Free, works on a lot of systems)
for remote desktop control. The only thing I wish it would do more
easily was NAT traversal so I can get to PCs behind home wifi routers.
