I use it, too.
Browsing is very limited but the playback works well.

You can do that, but at the expense of giving up the inverse feedback

I uninstalled Squeezebox server, rebooted, reinstalled, and attempted

I probably should have just rebooted no that I think about it. The

Check the properties of the dll in the server/Bin/MSwin32 directory

As long as there is a cygwin1.dll on the path - SBS doesn't care where
it comes from. It is used by some transcoding apps and also one of my

Why not just point Safari to your.server.com:9000/stream.mp3 and use
iPeng to control it? This has the advantage of being able to listen to

I received a (Logitech) SB Classic for Christmas to compliment a couple
of existing SlimDevices SB3s and a boom. I've been using it for the past
day and have just noticed that the extreme left and right edges of the
screen are faintly flickering (perhaps a column of 2 or 3 pixels at
either end).
A couple of photos showing the right and left hand edges of the
display...

I find I just listen to music on the iPod while I'm doing something else
without the need to sync everything I have onto the iPod, too much
duplication/faff and no way am I letting iTunes anywhere near SBC.
Still use iPeng app when listening out loud as it were.
Streaming on iPeng sounds good.

Does it do gapless playback? Does it play the FLAC files directly or
do you have to set it up to transcode on the server side?
Thanks.

Hi Pippin -
When iPeng supports this, will it do gapless playback of LAME mp3
files? Will it support FLAC without the need to transcode?
Thanks!

The SB3 is supposed to be identical to the Classic - they just renamed
it for marketing purposes.
Since you have an SB3 to compare against, you know what it should look
like.
I'd say it's a hardware issue and you should look into arranging for a
replacement.
