I've checked the md5sum and everything matches, however i'm getting the
same 'libFLAC.so.8: file too short' error. The file it is referring to
is 0kb, should it be empty?

You certainly are not the only person seeing this. One way around it is
to rename all the affected files to remove the accented characters not
forgetting upside down question marks. You can leave the tags alone so
track names are still displayed correctly. It is a pain to do but it
works!

I litteraly love my Squeezes. I just had to say it . I do not like
hearing Logitech being bashed for many things that they may not be
responsible for. I really loved receiving all my Squeezes. First of all
, they are packaged so nice and neatly. I cannot even get myself to
throw away the cool
I'd be real interested to know what you changed to get it to run
fullscreen, have currently built a newer version, and am trying to get
it to run fullscreen.
Any chance you could give me some pointers as to the files you modded
?

Subject says it allsort of. I have a very typical setup but cannot
get it to work. SC and iTunes are installed on a dedicated laptop. My
music is all stored on a USB drive directly attached to the laptop.
All I want to do is use iTunes as my library source rather than have SC
scan the HD

I have a ReadyNAS NVX on order and am planning how best to use it to
(amongst other things) take over Squeezebox Server from my PC. I
currently rip CDs via iTunes on my PC and have SBS setup to integrate
with iTunes.

Hmm, interesting, never heard of iPeng before. Not an iPod or iPhone
person, so I'd not heard of it. Looked up the website and read about
it, looks like a really interesting app, though it does only look like
it's for controlling not for playing remotely.

The biggest issue with iPeng and streaming is a licensing one, all easy
solutions are forbidden one way or the other (although not everybody
cares, I do):
- SqueezePlay, which I'm porting makes extensive use of LUA, which is
forbidden on iPhones plus some libraries that have licenses that
