I noticed on Friday night that my SB Classic in my living room started
stopping when playing back FLAC files. At the time it was synced to
the Boom in the kthcen, which I could hear carrying on in the
background. Once this had started happening it refused to play
anything- allowing 20s of music

If it is practical to go wired, do so. Wired always beats WiFi in all
regards (except at, y'know, being wireless).

just got a transporter and I had to reset it twice today. It showed now
playing but actually didn't play at all.
After a reset (power of / on with 1 pressed on the remote) it would
play again.
Now I just noticed that the case is quite warm. Is this a problem? I

Well obviously you need to have wifi if you have a Duet -- the SB Duet
Controller only works wirelessly. I am fairly sure that if you setup
the SB Duet Receiver for ethernet that it automatically switches off
the SBR's wifi radio.

I'd suggest just doing a general Forum Search for Pogoplug. There are

For a light weight DLNA server, you can also check out
http://sourceforge.net/projects/minidlna/. It is a nice and simple
C/C++ app. It will not do transcoding for you, but does what it does
do very efficiently.
I have to say I think DLNA is a poor way to distribute content when

A friend of mine had a similar setup but with a USB dongle doing a radio
link (NOT wifi) to his hifi. It worked quite well. Probably you could
do the same thing with the 3.5mm jack on the boom. A bit backwards
in some ways, but at least the sync won't be off. :)

Well I'd like to convert my squeeze server playlist XML over to WPL? The
first thing I notice I can't find them on the server!? I can see them in
the server software, not when I search for XML. Via search thru home
server search engine yield no hints.

Sporting News Radio is already in the RadioTime directory, however they
recently switched to AAC which is not supported by Boom unless you have
the Squeezebox server software installed on a computer to transcode it.
