I have attempted to disabled the update in the Settings/Advanced/Software Updates. It doesn't work I thought so too, but as long as you have an update pending, i.e. downloaded on your local server, you will continue to get that message. I beleive and could be wrong, what that setting does is stop

I remember similar problems with the same Thomson router. I sorted it by lowering the security settings getting a connection and then increasing them again. I've since changed the router to a Netgear as a result of changing to fibre and didn't have any such problems. -- spile

I do the same thing from my mac with a program called Nicecast (costs money but much more user friendly than the Windows solution). It's a great way to 'futureproof' the Squeezebox when plug-ins don't work or aren't available. -- robotron2
