Hi guys, I've had LMS setup and running on my Raspberry Pi for over a
week now without any major problems but yesterday I disconnected the
external USB drive which has my music on it to back it up to my file
server all went ok, I reconnected it the pi and LMS reports 0 files 0
playlist etc

Try this, open the LMS webUI, go toLMS settings
Basic Settings Browse Media Folders Media, in the drop down list
select the usb folders one by one until you find the files

The Pi probably didn't automount the USB drive properly when you plugged
it back in. You need to be careful about removing and reinserting USB
drives with Linux. They need to be unmounted before removal. If you
aren't a *nix person this is best done by powering the Pi off before you
pull the USB

I would go for the touch!
The Transporter is too expensive and not reliable! (Mine broke after
some years)
So enjoy your music with a touch and if you want more - go to Linn!

I went for the Transporter. I hope it will last a while. Just like
anything, it could last few days, it could last a decade or more. I've
had the SB3 since 2007 I guess, it's SlimDevices one and I've had no
problems at all.
Now waiting for the seller to ship it. Paid on Tuesday, it's Thursday
