Yes I still buy stuff , I've found Bandcamp to be a great resource .
and on this forum there is a "what are you listening to rigth now" tread
that is great . In general the music sub forum here is filled with great
ideas .
And I use spotify and play some distant but very musical friends

Well, I'm right handed, and kind of born with two left hands. ;)
I suck at soldering things, and lose patience quickly, so I'd prefer
something either really simple to build (crafting a jack cable with a
couple components should be okay) or ready to use.
Thank you anyway! :)

I think that would work but it's still quite a different product. We
would see a way to use that to integrate it with the "traditional"
Squeezebox system (using LMS as a server while still driving the player
through the ickStream protocol) but it would still be a different

Indeed. Except the difference here is that there are enthusiasts still
updating the open source software and it works on a variety of hardware,
so the chance of survival is good, but I doubt it wi
Hello Squeezebox community!
I have been a huge supporter and user of Squeezebox for 6 or 7 years
now. Although I never post anything, I have been to the forums many
times to get help. It is truly a great community and I thought it would
be a great place to get some feedback on a business idea I a
isn't that because the Sonos has no equivelant of LMS to downsample?
SB environment almost doesn't care what the player can do so long as the

correct. everything is built into the hardware units themselves. This
is why updates to improve things are a challenge for SONOS to the extent
they want to stay backwards compatible. They have a very differe

Sonos seems to be falling behind the curve regarding hi-rez files. They
still do not support 24/96. I don't necessarily care about the super
hi-rez files (no advantage to my ears) , but to me 24/96 support is
desirable. Obviously, this is an individual decision. But, to your
question, this is a si

The main problem with this is that ickStream is a plugin and installing
plugins on the touch can be complicated. You would also have to run the
server on the Touch (have a USB drive of some kind attached - might as
well be empty, though).
We haven't tested it so even though there are builds of the
Hello,
I would like to raise a question that may have already answered, so
please excuse me if I missed it...
Will it be possible (if yes, when ?...) to install directly ickStream on
a SQB Touch and use it for example with TuneIn radios without installing
ickStream on a PC ? I'm not sure to have
