It's hard to find a DAC that sounds better than a Transporter. I have
tried, as I wanted to switch to a USB setup. After unsuccessfully trying

didn't sound nearly as good (level matched) so I reluctantly sold it.
After that
I tried a couple of different OS's on my new Joggler tonight. Then tried
to install squeezeplay with the following method ...
I followed these instructions ...
1. Download Reflash system for Openpeak here ==>

2. Download Ubuntu 18.X and install image

Thanks for taking a look. When someone is offering a free service, I
have to remember that its not reasonable for me to have expectations
that they do it my way. ;-)

These Wi-Fi boards are harder to get. At eBay, I found two offerings
which are both from China. Might be problematic but I'm not sure.
This the link to one of them: https://ebay.us/PdmjPl
AR2413 is the chip that needs to be on the card because it's the only
one the Squeezebox firmware supports.

That is the LMS server's own public IP address.
A quick look at log. I don't have a SlimP3 so all I am going on is other
users & developers experiences
1. The MP3 error message is associated with internet streaming and pls.
It needs to be checked out.
2. There are odd messages logging about problems accessing settings.
Not normal. This
player.source is already at Info level. I just pasted the end of where
it started playing and all where it looped 13 minutes later.

Attached is the log for that day and some of the next.
Later on I connected a squeezelite player and tried to replicate the
issue. It's possible that I'd left
Dont have broken one, changing setup to allow me to take advantage of
clock locking my dac as opposed to much inferior spdif.
I seriously doubt a rpi feeding my dac via spdif would beat a
transporter clock locked to my dac. Thats whole point of me wanting
transporter as I want to clock lock
