If you are using the FLIRC there's absolutely no need to even look at
that page.
On a PC just program the FLIRC using the FLIRC software and your

Yes, thanks; I did try it directly that way, but it didn't make a
difference the other day(s) -- but now, for no reason at all, that
works, as
I have 32 gb card in use for Buster Desktop at the moment.
Checked with gparted and I can fit it on a 16 gb card.
I'll user the sd card copier on the desktop to make a backup on the 16
gb, copy that to a usb stick using Win32Disk imager and use Pi-shrink to
squeeze it down a bit more.

It's a lot easier to remote into with VNC
This is a 8gb rpi4b on which I use the desktop for some other stuff;
gparted, rpi-imager, Pi-Shrink.

I believe were good. Bullseye on x86 uses Perl 5.32. And thanks to the
pCP team we have that for ARM CPUs already.
