Hi.
Has anyone verified that the digital out on Squeezebox (with
fixed digital output level) is bit-correct?
I am thinking about playing an uncompressed WAV, recording
the signal at the digital output and comparing the recording with the original WAV.
Is such a test part of Slimdev

I investigated the bit-correctness of the digital output of Squeezebox using
the DTS encoded as WAV method:
I downloaded a DTS sample file encoded as a 44.1kHz WAV file.
I made a second version of the file where the sign was inverted for all
samples.
I connected the digital out of my Squeezeb
If I have an URL of an MP3 radio stream (let's say a Norwegian radio
station) will it play back directly on SB2 without the need for slimserver?
I.e. act as a standalone internet radio receiver?

per album, internal cuesheets with tag information included as numbered
Vorbis Comments.
This works great with SB1 and server-side decoding.

There are several reasons why I went for one album per file.

I tried to open http://ogg.tv-radio.fr:1441/encodercityradio.ogg in winamp.
There it is displayed that this is a stream with 32kHz sampling rate.
Slimserver/Squeezebox1 has problems playing back ogg streams with sample
rates different from 44.1kHz. I think you are hearing a 32kHz stream being

The artist is Hüsker Dü.
When Browsing Artist, this album occurs twice. One correct listing, and one
listing with empty album.
Having only this file in my Music Folder, slimserver displays:

How can SoftSqueeze be configured to work with SqueezeNetwork?
It would be nice for me as a SB1 owner to test SqueezeNetwork with
SoftSqueeze in order to convince myself to buy a SB2.
