I didn't realise they were THAT desirable.
I suppose I should be happy that I bought my 2 Booms & Duet when I did
(which all get heavy use every day) !
May still keep an eye out for a Touch though..

I'd argue a Joggler can be better than a Touch with an appropriate USB
DAC. Bigger better screen and easily enough power to run a proper
version of LMS on board, eithe

keep looking. I suspect new in box Touch units (or almost new in box)
will pop up on a regular basis. think about all those people that
bought one of these, hooked it up, it was confusing, put it away in the
closet!

.. then just get a 25
Hardware wise the Touch has a slightly superior DAC to a Duet or SB3.
You can run ipeng in playback mode with good results if linked to a
airplay receiver or a good digital dock.

Ditton F20s - and connec
You can run Ipeng with 'playback'on an iPad ,phone or iTouch and it
behaves just like a Squeezebox touch.

Is the audio quality (analogue) significantly better than Duet ?
I guess my other concern is spending £200 on hardware that relies on
discontinued software. If my Win XP/7 computers die then I may not be
able to use

Do you think it would be a waste of money to get this Touch for £200 ?
It would be intended as an upgrade to Duet receiver as my main hifi
player. I thought the Touch was a higher quality player than Receiver..

Good suggestion, I'll also add the following alternatives for
consideration.

Consider a cheap used iTouch running iPeng app as a replacement player.
If you need speakers, pair with audioengine 2.0.

I'm interested in adding in another player - either Duet Receiver or
Touch (I have 2 x Booms and 1 x Duet).
Searching at the moment but obviously these are quite expensive & often
used items.
Have found a "New-other" Touch for £200 on ebay - would this be a good
