I think foobar uses ID3.1 and ID3v2.4 which won't show up in the
listings. You need to use ID3v2.3 which is the best to use anyway if
you want maximum compatibility with players and programs.
Yes I checked, Foobar is saving this by default is ID3v2.4 but one can
set

set it to do it into ID3v2.3 if one wants to. I guess dbpoweramp does
not show ID3v2.4 tags though, and that is why the ReplayGain info
doesn't show up. A good other program to view all tags though is

That's the reason I don't like mp3gain. It only uses ID3v2.4. This
introduces another type of tag that I don't need or want. dbpoweramp
does replaygain in ID3v2.3 so it shows up fine and is more compatible
with programs. Can foobar write replaygain to ID3v2.3
Zevs;321423 Wrote:
Well it has what is called in the FAQ a ID3v2 writer compatibility
mode:
foobar2000 writes ID3v2.4 tags encoded as UTF-8 by default. To deal
with broken software/hardware with partial support of the ID3v2
standard, an ID3v2 writer compatibility mode has been added

Just wondering..why not just use dbpoweramp for replay gain?
Well... I think Foobar works fine for this and I actually like
Tag%Rename very much for the tagging part, but I will check out
dbpoweramp more also.

Thanks for the tip Jim!
I some time ago lost whatever program I had that showed tags in
Explorer so this tip was useful! Can one tweak it to show for example
replaygain info also and other things included in the tags ?

For all of the formats that I've used - Flac, Mp3, Ogg Vorbis, and
Monkey's Audio - it displays all tags, with the standard ones like
artist, title and album shown first, then

I don't use dbpoweramp for either ripping or music transcoding, but I
have it installed nonetheless. The only reason is for the Windows

I'm glad that when I started to rip my cd's I decided to use dbPoweramp.
After looking at several secure options, dbPoweramp seemed the best
choice (speed being a main factor). And version 13 only has got
better.
Just for kicks, I tried the new batch converter: I wish it was there

I don't seem to get all that info when I installed the program (v.13).
Here is an example of what I got on a file where I have used Foobar to
