So how do you program the number keys on the remote with SC7? It seems

I don't think I understand your question. What does SC7 or SS6.5 or
any previous version of SS have to do with your SB3 IR remote?
Just not following.:)

My questions:
1) It is not clear how to set up favorites to the remote buttons [1-9]
in the instructions. No where can I find in the instructions it stated
that holding button 2 on the remote will play #2 in

I see now! If I press Favorite and then the number buttons in beta SN
this works as you state. However if I press and hold a numeric button
[again in beta SN] it says Favorite #X NOT DEFINED. How do you define
it?
My primary reason is for wanting to program a universal remote so I can

OK I just did this on SC7:
1. Check my favorites list is empty.
2. Go to an album and hit add to favorites
3. Repeat for another album
4. Check the favorites list - I now have 2 defined
5. Press and hold 1 on the remote - the first favorite starts playing.
6. Press and hold 2 on the remote - the

Even works if the SB is off.
I'm not sure if a programmable remote would mimic the exact same way of

I have a squeezebox three and would like to be able to program my

What would really help would if you could have a macro code or push the

Err..
I am in Squeeze Network Beta and trying to map some of my favorites to
individual number buttons on the remote control. Right now if I push
and hold #1 or 2, two of my favorites start playing [which I didn't
program unless I did it accidentally]. If I hold any of the other
numbers on the
