thought I'd add to the mayhem.
My symptoms are bit different.
Not only can't I get Rhapsody on any squeezeplay device (both radio and
touch), but it freezes the player.. and eventually reboots it. And then
the audio is broken for local content until you factory reset.
The symptoms are
I'm experiencing the same problems with Rhapsody that I've experienced
since last Wednesday. Despite Rhapsody's claims that they returned to
their original servers and that everything is back to normal, clearly
they are not.
I'm using a SB Radio.
I've uninstalled and reinstalled the Rhapsody
What a mess this is.Trying to play Rhapsody now is the kiss of death to
the SB Touch. Trying to play a radio channel froze my touch. After a
reboot,no music even on music stored on my computer. I switched back
and forth from
SB server to MY sb and got sound again after about 4 tries.
Whatever
We will have a firmware update out ASAP to fix Rhapsody on Radio and
Touch. We are shooting for a bit later today.

Andy, just out of curiousity..might you have a layman's explanation
as to why Rhapsody's been working o.k. for some Touches (mine, for
instance, has been
The problem was caused by Rhapsody changing the DNS address of their API
server. There is some code to handle this case for older ip3k-based
players, but it's not necessary for SP players. Unfortunately that
code got ported from ip3k and was broken. So if by chance you were
still on a server

Looks like the new firmware 7.5.1-r9218 has fixed it. I can confirm
that Rhapsody is working again on my Touch Radio.

Same herewhile mine wasn't broken, the download and restart after
the update picked right up where the music had stopped. Looks like the

Since I am running SBS, I had to switch to mysb to get the new firmware.
I then switched back to my SBS. Rhapsody started playing fine but after
a while it stopped playing with a user authentication error. Restarting
my SBS fixed this issue.
Does the above sound procedure sound right?

I was just informed that Rhapsody upgraded their system and it is not
compatible with my Squeezebox Touch any longer. The person at Logitech
explained that is would not be available until either Rhapsody changes
their system or the Logitech ap is changed, and he did not sound
hopeful that either

I had done the things you suggested before I called Logitech.
Rhapsody plays fine on my computer, just not my Touch, and it was
confirmed at Logitech.
It goes right to the point of playing, allowing me to choose music, or
search, or whatever, but it never actually plays the music.

Yes, mine works through my computer, but not through the Touch directly,
as it used to. I don't want to have to use it through my computer into

I have an ethernet connection to my Touch, and that is how I want to
continue to use it. That is what I signed up for, and pay my monthly

I've tried this using both SBS on my Mac and MSB. The Rhapsody behavior

UnderstandI think you'll just need to bear with Rhapsody for a bit
until you can determine that they've got it fixed---whatever

therefore which set of bugs you get to experience at any given time.

I can access Rhapsody on my SB Radio via my home server, but I can't
access it via mysqueezebox.com. Seems like a problem with either
Logitech's mysqueezebox.com serve software, or the handshake between
Logitech's server and Rhapsody.

yes, despite what I said earlier, I am unable to access Rhapsody in any
