I have issues with it as well, sound cuts out with around 10 seconds
left.
That said. Squeezeplay is Beta and development has basically been put
on hold, so there is nothing that can be done.
I suggest not using it until they have the resources to work on it
again.

I'm having 2 different issues with SqueezePlay on 2 different PCs.
1. PC at home - Windows Vista Platform, SqueezePlay ver. 3/26 nightly
build.
Plays current song for only 30 seconds then starts the song all over
again. Plays 30 seconds again. Starts song over again. Repeats this
cycle

Downloaded the 3/31 nightly build of SqueezePlay for the Home PC. Same
issue (30 secs then start over) plus at times it only plays anywhere
from 1 to 10 secs of the song and then starts over. Also, after a few
cycles, it stops completely. I have to restart playback for the cycle

sound like fast forwarding (Like a chipmunk song) or some of them too
slow. I tested this streams with another audio player and the playback
was normal.

Just open console.app, when I do this I see a ton of messages logged by
.com.logitech.squeezeplay
(you could filter on this.)
BTW, works ok for me, squeezeplay mac - SC linux.

I gave up on the java based soft players that come with SC. Too
fragile. I'm pretty sure the issue wasn't the app itself but java.
If you are using Win or Linux, there are versions of a command-line
soft player called squeezeslave.

On MacOSx Leopard, I've turned off the firewall - Accept all
inbound...
On Ubuntu - iptables shows ACCEPT for Input, Forward, Output... which
should be all open ports...
I really need debugging help to see if the client is the issue or the

I just did a little test myself, but it does seem to be scrobbling for
me. I downloaded the latest version of the 7.3.3 nightly just this
morning, though I think it has always scrobbled for me ever since the
first version.
I think SqueezeCenter handles the scrobbling rather than the players
Yesterday, I was switching between SqueezePlay and my 2 Booms. Later I
tried Squeezeslave, too, to see if it was scrobbling. Only the songs
played on my 2 Booms were sent to Last.FM. SqueezePlay and SqueezeSlave
were not scrobbling. How can that be if it is handled by SqueezeCenter?

changed from yesterday to today, except I closed and re-opened SP.

seem much more reliable than softsqueeze - though I do like softsqueeze
more. There are several things it seems to be missing - unless I've

All of the network devices on my home network are using DHCP, so each
one is unique (10.0.1.x). I am NATing to the Internet, so each one
will have the same public facing IP address.

alphabetial order. But the Album view is not, in fact it seems to in
alphabetical order of the artists.

Have a look at Settings/Advanced/Album Sort Order - sounds like you may
have it set to Artists/Album, whereas I think you want Album alone from
the sounds of your post.

From an attractiveness point of view, I think the Softsqueeze interface
is much more pleasant and interesting looking than the Squeezeplay
interface. It is

After 7.3 was release I upgraded my SqueezeCenter from SVN, and downloaded
the latest nightly of SqueezePlay. For the first time ever I am able to play
back using SqueezePlay as the player rather than having to use it to control
an instance of SoftSqueeze.
However, I'm seeing something
