Thanks, all. @ Skunk: A soft start circuit wouldn’t really do anything about the noise when powering off. @ freelunch: Totally agree. IMO it must be simple to do something about this just by adjusting the software. Maybe I don’t understand what is implicated, though. It seems a bit old

Thanks for your suggestion - unfortunately it didn’t help. Any other ideas? This is a quite critical issue since there is a risk of destroying expensive equipment. Could it be done in a FW upgrade? Best regards -- FB67

My Transporter is hooked up directly to a 300w Bryston power amp (always on). My hifi is usually set very loud and although I get a noise as I turn the Transporter on and off it's by no means loud and causes me no real concern (I'd prefer it if it was quiet though). I wonder why the difference?

Turning the Transporter on and off causes some noise (“booms”) on the analogue outputs. Not fun, when you are hooked up directly to active speakers with 1.000 Watts of Icepower and the volume on the Transporter is turned well up ;-) Anyone know of a solution to this? Best regards -- FB67
