Have you thought about including a word count or grammar check like Microsoft
Word has? I was merely wondering because those are some features I miss from
my old software.

Hi!
When i convert a text document into pdf, the page numers and date
doesn't show if i use the insert fields-option. instead there is a
text. It is most bothersome :) Is there a possibility for a fix, or do
we need to wait for 1.1.5?
I use v.1.1.4 and Windows XP SP2.

Mozilla already offers pretty good simple HTML editor. You can use that
along side OOo, and it includes a good web browser, mail client and news
reader as well. No real need to re-invent the wheel, unless you are sure
about inventing a better one.

saying that useful tools ought to be included in the OOo suite. Whether
these particular ones ought to be included is a subject for serious
discussion;

Hello Kelly,
A word count is already available. Go to File Properties and click on
the Statistics tab (much like WordPerfect). It will be improved in the
next version, which is due out soon (you can use the betas already). A
grammar check is in the works.
Cheers,
Daniel.

The current Grammar Checkers for OOo admit to being beta, or alpha quality.
Microsoft does not admit to providing pre-alpha quality grammar checkers.

I have made some Flash animations which I would very much like to
import into my Impress presentations.
I managed to do this with moderate success using OOo 1.1.4 but have had
no luck with 1.9.104.
Has anyone any suggestions or comments? Is there a plugin?
Thanks.

Thanks for the interesting posting, Adrian. One thing I didn't quite
understand is, can you now use Thunderbird with your pocket pc? My
friend is using Outlook (not express) on his desktop because he uses it
on his palmtop. He'd be happy to switch to TB if it could also run on
his palmtop.
