The first thing to do is download the latest beta version from
openoffice.org, which is currently 1.9.104.

sorry for any inconvenience, but I just wanted to report a single bug
-- it took me at least 20 minutes to find out that I can't find out
how to do it.

places where you might ask. The "discuss" list you just email doesn't
have many developers. A better place to ask would be:

(lots of developers there, they know about the OOo API).
