Despite that this issue had been raised ages ago. It still persists in
OOo 3.0 and I can't find the option to remove non-stylesheet languages
without using the paste as plaintext quirk.

attributes including non-stylesheet language overrides.
"remove language" is supposed to read "remove formatting" or "default
formatting" as actually used in OpenOffice.org
