Since very seldom has anyone volunteered to review the chapters
that have been written in the Base Guide, I doubt that this guide is
really needed by anyone. Beside, the Base Handbook is well written and
covers far more than I could write. So, the majority of my time in the

through the 2 chapters of the full guide that Dan completed recently. I
figured that anyone already in the Docs Team might be best off getting involved
in the translation of the Handbook but that there might be a co

Personally I agree with you on the HSQLDB front, but not everyone is
of the same opinion.
Seems to me the main job is to entice people over to the idea of
using databases, because a too-large number don't. For those people
making it easy is the key thing, and there the inbuilt HSQLDB
nds to a reasonable minimum. The work Dan has done seems to have
kick-started greater interest in work on Base generally. A completed Guide
might draw more new people in.

Chapters 3 and 4 are only in draft form for OOo. They need some
modifications before being listed on the wiki.
All of these chapters for OOo are on ODFAuthors in the Base Guide
folders. Time to change their visibility status and their folders'
visibility status.
