[Dorset] Changing the Graphics Card

I decided that a new (more) 'soopa-doopa' graphics card would be in order to replace my low-end nVidia card. Naively perhaps, I thought that (K)Ubuntu's hardware detection would deal with the change. It didn't. The new card is an ATI X1650 Pro and is clearly working because the startup screen

I had a few graphics problems on my Feisty Fawn install. What version are you using? 8.04 Server only produced a stub file, and wouldn't detect. Eventually after having no luck manually rewriting the file, I used a utility(xconfigure?) which enabled me to wizard the stub into a usable file. I'm s
