Anyone have a source for the S-310-CCT and S-312-CCT power
connectors? Mouser, Newark, Digikey and Jameco all list them as discontinued.

Loren, what do they fit as in application, I am presuming these are Cinch
connectors. Have you come up with perhaps a pic of what the pin / socket
setups are.

Gents,
I'm trying to decide what I should do for a power supply for my TR-7. I'll
try to give the Reader's Digest version, but I have a slight complication. My
main power supply is an Astron RS-35M, but my TR-7 (S/N 46xx) generates some
transmitted audio feedback in the receive audio

Hi,
I use an Astron RS35 with my tr7 and have none of the problems you spoke of. I
get no dimming at all during key down or otherwise.
The Tr7 does require more current than most all of the Japanese radios. It
could be your Astron has a problem you would otherwise not be aware of except
with
(Note:? G4ALG had posted some notes on a similar problem that got me to
looking at this issue and his notes led me to run separate power lines
for the high-current and low-current connections that fixed his problem
and my problem.)
If running separate lines fixed the problem, then the power
I can tell you from many field day experiences that low primary input
voltage to the PS-7 will cause the TR-7 to turn itself off, especially with
voice
peaks or when tuning up. Turning the power switch off and back on will reset
it, but it will do it again until the primary input voltage to

It may be your cable. The TR7 does have a hefty current drain on
transmit,
Yes, I'm aware of this and referenced GW4ALG's info in my first post. My power
cable uses 10-gauge on the high-current side and 14 or 16 gauge on the
low-current side. It's not the problem as the feedback is still present when
using my Astron but disappears when I use the Astron in

The gotcha is your probably searching under Cinch Jones,
they were the original manufacturer and they no longer make
them, but search under Molex and you will find them.
Molex is still making them and very good quality.
I've also found them
Indeed that comment puzzled me. I have measured the V drop
at full load and it was next to nothing.
However moving the sense is good, why didn´t I think about
that?, this I will do to fix some V drop in the cable.
