Hi Curt,
I think the issue with my set-up here is the inconsistency in shielding
between the PTO can its attaching metal base. For whatever reason(s) it's
being compromised as the set warms-up, and that is causing the intermittent
irregular creep in frequency...
As for the hole at the back of
Hi Steve,
Well, keep in mind that the PTO in the just-plain-old R-4 (such as I have
here) is a TUBE-type. The PTO in my T-4X is solid-state, with all of the
componentry mounted a small circuit board that is itself, in turn mounted
inside the enclosure.
As for the active devices used in Drake
Does the SPR-4 take the same crystals as the SW-4?

Hello to the group.

A: I have reseated all the boards.
Stored unit for nine months. Hooked up yesterday.
Digital freqs way off, 12xxx while in 20 M position 5xxx while in 40 M
position...etc
Did have some signals (SSB) input on the 20 M position, but mechanical
dial says way off
Some things to check (in no particular order):
Make sure all the boards are properly seated. If oxidation on the Molex
connectors is persistent, cleaning/DeOxit treatment should be used. Copper
grounding fingers should be clean and make good contact with the frame. Also
check for deformed female
