Hi Folks,
How can I connect an external frequency counter to a TR-7?
The reason I'd like to do this is that I cannot read the normal display,
I'm blind, so I would like to connect a counter that gives the frequency
in CW.
Thanks 73

IMHO this is a Drake list. Recently I see various NON Drake items being
offered for sale. Why not go to ebay? I think this list should be
restricted to Drake stuff only. Sell the mighty fine junk elsewhere
Please.

Blowing the air out seems to be the key factor in this.
Thanks again,

The Netherlands
product, with plenty of solid state
things inside...isn't a Drake anymore.
Obv it's only my opinion.

Hello everyone. I have a C line in marvellous condition and i've bought
a C-Drake frequency counter from www.aade.com. The counter read the
frequency by Inject cable ( INj cables connected trought the counter ).
Well, as finally I got my ham license i started to use my C line with
this counter
the copy I was
strauggling with.
Best Regards

Adrian -
Just
on the 28MHz setting the display is
showing 32MHz, which I guess is the VCO.
Should I fault find the VCO problem first or the 8.05MHz Oscillator. Any
help gratefully received !
Thanks

the manual suggests. (I should see 5.645MHz).
The RX is working OK, although the PBT is way off.
Any ideas guys ?

No worries, Gary.
I have a scope probe and I'll try that tomorrow. I have another DFM, which
has a stated sensitivity of 30mV up to 50MHz and 35mV up to 150MHz. I'll try
a few things out first.

tried the RX sie of things and noticed that the PBT is needed to resolve
an SSB signal, so I guess I need to look at that as well.
I'll get the receive side going on all bands first, then look at alignment
voltages.
Thanks all for the help so far.
