Hi,
I use an Astron RS35 with my tr7 and have none of the problems you spoke of. I
get no dimming at all during key down or otherwise.
The Tr7 does require more current than most all of the Japanese radios. It
could be your Astron has a problem you would otherwise not be aware of except

Hello, does anyone have available a S-310-CCT cinch connector for a TR7? This
is the one normally wired on the PS7 cable for rig control, the 10 pin
connector.
I've tried the sources outlined on Ron Baker's website and none in stock at
either source. Also tried an internet search, and
Hi all,
I'm considering a Harbach Soft Start mod for my TT amp and then got to thinking
about modding some of my other rig power supplies for soft start as well. Such
as my AC4, TenTec 12v and RS35 supplies. Any thoughts or comments before I do
the deed? I probably should have checked the
Dick,
Here's the link to the probe fix. If you have a good probe with your heathkit,
then use it. You can also make one if so inclined and are the industrious
sort. Also, I think BK made a similar probe with the resistor installed and
you could switch it in and out at or near the probe tip.
Thanks Mike, but Ron beat me to it ! No problem though, It would have been
hard to find a home for 10,000. I'm sure Ron will have an inventory for some
time to come!! And, I'd just a soon not be known as the screw guy ! Hi Hi.

Peter,
You might get by using a line matching transformer. You've got a high
impedance mic, going into a low impedance input circuit. Line matching
transformers are available at most places that sell microphones. Also, you
might try using W2ENY? or something like that. Its advertized in QST

Thats exactly how mine is hooked up. It works just fine, certainly better
than before. I had TV problems before I put the 3300 on the antenna line

Hi all,
I'm interested in hearing the pro's and con's regarding using a switching power
supply with a TR-7(a). I remember this question coming up on the Sunday PM
technical net some time ago, but forgot the details.
As I recall, it is not recommended, but don't remember why.
Thanks
David
