The TR-7 nylon gears are not affected by oil because the gear bushings are brass on brass. The older PTO's used a nylon gear over a brass bushing and oil is a problem. I have had to disassemble many older 4 line PTO's with binding gears and open up the hole in the nylon gear with a wood dowel an
