Hi Daniel
As I suspected.
Nothing is listening on port 8080 and no webapps are deployed in the Tomcat
folder.
Try the following:
1. http://wiki.lib.sun.ac.za/index.php/SUNScholar/Prepare_Ubuntu
2. http://wiki.lib.sun.ac.za/index.php/SUNScholar/Install_DSpace

Hi Daniel
Please check the following:
1. Type *netstat -tpln* to see which ports are listening.
2. Type *ls -l /var/lib/tomcat7/webapps* to see which webapps have been
deployed.

Hi Helix
Ok. So which setting is correct, so as to enable non-DSpace repositories to
do an OAI-ORE harvest?
I find it highly unlikely that an external non-DSpace repository will have
an "xmlui" interface setting available?

s not have an XMLUI interface.
This seems to obviate repository interoperability, which is what OAIS is
supposed to support?
That is definitely a bug and a major feature regression.

Hi Sisay
More details would help. The destination and source of the harvesting is
needed.
In other other words, knowing who is the producer and who is the consumer
would help.

Hi Naveen
Assuming you are using DSpace 4.X, check the folowing
https://github.com/DSpace/DSpace/blob/dspace-4_x/dspace/config/dspace.cfg#L39
Remove the */xmlui* part and rebuild.

Hi Chris
1. Check the log clean-up here:
http://wiki.lib.sun.ac.za/index.php/SUNScholar/Daily_Admin/4.X#Sample_crontab
2. Check the daily restart that also cleans out the tomcat logs here:
