I would add that I've learned *never* to use a form of the name "dspace" for directories, users, databases, .war files, etc. If an instance will present itself as "Foo" then I'd name the [DSpace] directory "foo", the database "foo", and the database user "foo", the webapp.s "foo.war" and "foo-oai.

Just repeat the normal install process but place the files on another directory and name the db for the second installation as dspace2 for example. Running two instances is not a problem. However it seems you cant run two handle servers on a same server so the other instance would have to be l

2? Try 20 instances on a single Tomcat! Anyway - according to your specific questions: 1) Tomcat configurations - in a 'standard' installation, you don't need to change the Tomcat config much (apart from adding the UTF-8 encoding)... as long as your instances are modelled in that fashion, then
