Steve,
Congratulations. Should have mentioned it this morning.
I visited with Tushar Patel at ECPI this morning and mentioned that you
have tower access to Killeen. He is interested in talking with you. So I'm
going to forward your phone number. He would also like help setting up a
Steve,
I hope Icom is cooperative and willing to replace the speaker. Wonder if
the '92 speaker is different from the one in the '91. I suspect speaker
failures are about as likely in one radio as in the other.
Thanks for sending the ICF file. Last night, I began the process of

It does seem that some of the newer, cost-reduced network gear is
sub-standard. Too bad the US FCC doesn't require immunity as well as

Steve,
I believe I remember someone posting comments about problems with DSL
routers. One version was fairly immune to RF and the other, newer one was
not. Can't find the discussion in the archive, though.
Do you remember this exchange? (I may be remembering it from the

If your computer has a COM port (with a DB-9 connector on the rear cover),
you can plug in the DB-9 connector on the cable and go to work. If yours is
a relatively new computer, it may only have USB and Ethernet connectors. If
this is the case, you'll need the Com-to-USB adaptor that Steve
