I would like to take my 800 out to field day. I want to test the DPRS setup at the same time, however, I do not have a serial GPS. I do have a Delorme Earth Mate. Is there a way to take the data from the USB GPS and send it through the computer to the 800 and then out to the DPRS setup? Than

The general answer to the question is yes, you just need a program that will copy the input from the USB connected GPS to the serial port, make sure you have the proper 3 wire line to the radio, the right comm port settings (baud, etc.) and its a go. You might even be able to do it with old DO
