I had a 2400 that was as you said flaky at best...tried the software reinstall. tried 8.6 Vs 9.1, with various combos of the cardbus support software...bottomline...I went to MCE and had the 2400 enabled and it worked much better, though a little quirky...like you still cannot shut down or restart
