I use both slots frequently with either a modem or enet card in one and either a USB or FireWire card in the other. I find two slots very compelling at least for the 2400c. I hadn't thought about using the modem and enet card simultaneously to run NAT--learn something every day. Thanks. On Tu

Sounds like what eventually happened to my 2400. Mine however was not charging the battery... there was a big X through it. I eventually had to have the IO board replaced at DT&T ... about $130.00 (not including shipping the book there and back). If you could find an IO board in you area and put
