Bob, I've had the serial port go bad several times on my 2400, and also intermittent. Most of the time, it was a hardware problem and was repaired by swappingng out the I/O board, by AppleCare or DT&T. Of course, it is difficult to know whether a serial port problem is hardware or software. To

My 230 will not print to my Stylewritter II anymore. It has been printing to the Stylewritter for months and now it will not print. I gives me a message that the printer port is being used by another application and I need to quit that application first before I can print. I have no other applicat

I am using the emachines "etherdock" on my 2300c with OS 8.1 This is a dock that looks like the Apple "mini-dock" except that the etherdock has an RJ-45 ethernet port instead of the Apple RJ-11 modem pass through. This etherdock DID NOT require any software. I just plug my cat-5 cable into the

Actually, everything is already connected through a switched router to share a DSL connection. During testing, I isolated the Duo Dock with a 10 Mbps hub so that it would only see the slower connection, still no dice. I have no problems connecting the Duo via a MicroDock or using the internal
