I don't believe it! After my 3rd reboot, osx is running wicked fast here
on my 2400c. Application launching is slow, but once they are up, almost

Hello List,
My Duo Dock Plus has started to tick. The repair utilizing a replacement capacitor
has been mentioned here. And a website on the repair procedure has been suggested:

I am unable to access this site as it may be defunct.

It worked fine for me.
I had some problems following the directions there, though. I wrote
about this at the time, and here is wat I said:

Has anyone used an Asante Micro EN/SC Ethernet adapter with a mini-dock to
connect a Duo 2300 to an iMac for file-sharing? I've used this Asante
adapter to connect my 170 to my school iMac, and the mini-dock/Asante
adapter has connected the Duo to a Powermac 6100 at home. However, when I

Howdy,
This is in response to Sidney Ho's request that I redo my temperature
test on the Comet chuck goolsbee worked on this winter to beef up its
heat dissipation properties. He used lots of gap filler and heat
compound, plus he added a copper plate between the Interware 320 cpu and

I suspect this may have something to do with the iMac
using 10/100base-T ethernet. I vaguely recall reading
somewhere that the EN/SC doesn't like 100base-T. My
own experience is that I can connect fine to my
platinum G3 or WallStreet (which are both 10base-T)
using a crossover cable, but not throu
Hey folks, got another, unrelated, engine swap question. I went to my

Hello, world!
This has nothing to do with anything, but its fun none the less. I got
bored and created an artist's rendering of what the future of the
Macintosh may be, based on some wild rumors going around.
