I don't have a G3 in here, but I could justify one a lot better if I
could run OS X on it. $400 for the extra RAM just isnt happening on my
student budget.

I thought Linux wouldn't work with an LC040?
Which distro are you using?
Thanks

Hm. Perhaps I'll try with the 280 board before I switch it.
Thanks

Debian.
I prefer Word (Mac) 5.1a. Yes the (a) is important.
That, in my opinion, is the best product Microsoft has ever released.

For what it's worth, I do know an author who strongly recommended Word
for Mac version 4. He had a particularly good add-on thesaurus.

Just swapping a 270 board into my 280 to do just that. There are 68k
WiFi drivers, but how are you connecting it to a duo?

AFAIK there are no 68k drivers for the WiFi cards, though I could be
wrong.
Orinoco thinks they have them for the PB190 at least. I've never heard
of anyone getting Orinoco's drivers working though...

Yeah. All color Duos need the bigger lid. 270c has an FPU, so I
always considered it better than the 280c. Just got through putting
a 270 board in my 280.

Someone is trying to sell me a 270c; I know that the 280c requires the larger
Dock, but does the 270c as well?

Just incase you missed what I just said there - yes the entire UI is
now rendered in 3D - Apple is the first to do this - even SGI never
did it. This seems to be escaping most of the reviews too, but it's
got to be one of the biggest deals about 10.2, and it's really what
apple should

Guys,
It's been a blast, but I've got to take a break from this list due to
schoolwork etc.
Normally I wouldn't even send this, but I'd like it if someone would
send me an email offlist if there are major developments in a few areas:
* That 600MHz upgrade.
* If anyone can boost my 2400 to 256MB
