I have a 2400 dock. NewerTech BookEndz. Hard to find now I suppose, but they
do exist. Originally priced at $200 I got mine on a heads up on this list on
a $40 closeout price about 2 years ago. Certainly worth the price of
admission, I'd say.

The greatest advantage would be that you can use your existing docking
devices (like the external floppy) inmediately and without a problem (that

For serious travelling, I find bulk reduction even more important
a) I used a 2300c for a couple of years. Too slow but nice and reliable.
b) Eventually I decided to make the jump and upgrade to a maxed-out
2400c/G3. The best computer I've ever used. It has become my main
machine. I does *everything* I need. Zero problems with SCSI, USB,
FireWire, you name it.

I loved my 2400. My only complaint was the battery
life. My 2300 was great for its time, but nothing
compared to the 2400. I still have not decided if I
will sell my 2400 or not, but I can say that the
TiBook rocks.
