I had the same problem with an 8 gig IBM external HD (PC Card-connected as well). I then used Powerbook File Assistant (File Synchronization CP in OS 9) and the file transfers worked--backed up my whole drive, as a matter of fact; took some time, though. Cheers Jose Jennifer Landefeld wrote:
